University Mall Redevelopment

As President of Woodbury Corporation it is my pleasure to introduce University Place—a 112 acre redevelopment of the University Mall property.

University Place is poised to be one of the most iconic places to do business in Utah. But the Story of University Place is bigger than 112 acres, bigger than Orem. University Place is a regional HUB. The site is strategically positioned at the busiest intersection in Utah County. Over 125,000 cars pass this site each day and more than a million people visit the mall, theater, and restaurants each year. It is the core of Utah County’s business and retail corridor. Its close proximity to Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University provide access to world class research and over 70,000 students.

“University Place is poised to be one of the most iconic places to do business in Utah.”

Daily needs, services that matters—University Place is “one stop” efficiency, allowing customers to run errands or hold business lunches without leaving the campus. Financial institutions, daycare, shipping & supplies, barber, dry cleaners, optical, phone centers, sundries, specialty gifts, hair salon, office catering, clothing, furniture, electronics are a few examples of the amenities existing on site. In addition, another 60 commercial businesses are within a five minute drive.

At the heart of the development is University Mall, with 1.3 million square feet, offering 140 specialty retail shops and a collection of eateries that include seven sit-down restaurants, ten food court options and five quick casual eateries. A 12-screen Cinemark Theatre and Costco are located on site as well.

1500 housing units including rental apartments, condos and townhomes provide an on-site residential option. 600,000 SF of office puts jobs in the convenience of a mixed-use development. The 120 room hotel provides accommodations for visitors and business travelers. A two acre civic plaza and park, outdoor music venue, bike and pedestrian pathway plus state-of-art swim and tennis club contribute to University Place’s overall vibrancy and user wellbeing.

Woodbury’s evolution of this site into a rich, diverse mixed-use town center where people can live work, shop, and play will provide a choice of living and working environments for those who prefer a more active, walkable community in a compelling and competitive regional location. The project demonstrates a sustainable long term vision for the development of Utah County’s commercial hub. The project incorporates a variety of different uses that working as a whole will make this one of the region’s major destinations. It creates a complete neighborhood where residents and visitors have access to the goods and services that meet their daily needs with reduced car usage.

It is a signature project. We look forward to showing it to you.
