Smith’s Food & Drug Announces Grand Opening of New Marketplace in Bluffdale

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and Special Offers to Celebrate New Grocery Store on Redwood Road

(Bluffdale, Utah) — September 24, 2025 — Smith’s Food & Drug, a trusted leader in providing fresh and affordable grocery options, is excited to announce the grand opening of its newest marketplace in Bluffdale, Utah. The new store, located at 13893 South Redwood Road, next to Fat Cats off Bangerter Highway, will open its doors to the public on September 27, bringing a wide variety of high-quality groceries and exceptional customer service to the heart of this growing community. The store is the 57th Smith’s in Utah.

To mark the occasion, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 7:30 a.m. with Bluffdale Mayor Natalie Hall and other local dignitaries and community leaders. The event will include special promotions and giveaways. Guests can also take advantage of exclusive discounts on their first shopping trip to the new store.

The 103,000 square foot store will offer a wide range of fresh produce, local products, and organic options including sushi and Starbucks Coffee cafe, fresh made to order salads and sandwiches, hot/cold chicken, fresh seafood, Boar’s Head Meats and Murray’s Cheese. Additionally, the new store will have a floral department, household goods, drive through pharmacy, online grocery Pick Up, and on-site Smith’s Fuel Center.

The $30 million Smith’s store was built by R & O Construction within a Woodbury Corporation Development.

As part of the company’s ongoing effort to moderate energy use, the new store has the latest energy efficient technologies in overhead lighting and cooling.
